Dr. Peter McKoy grew
up in Sumter, S.C. and opened Wateree Animal Hospital in 1972 after
graduating from Clemson University and receiving his degree in veterinary
medicine from the University of Georgia. Dr. McKoy and his wife, Peggy,
live in Boykin and have five children and five grandchildren, not
to mention numerous cats and dogs, and a few horses. Outside of the
hospital, Dr. McKoy is an active member of the Men’s Ministry
